A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege to work with Jasmin Goodman of J. Michelle Productions.
J. Michelle Productions was instrumental in the success of our big charity event last month: Shimmer 440 Launch Party and United Way Clothing Drive. Once the event was over I had to get with Jasmin and learn more about J. Michelle and her passion for video production.
Jasmin Goodman is a pretty girl who’s making great strides in media. Jasmin wears many hats she’s a professor, freelance cinematographer, and founder of an online TV network Project Blaq. Jasmin created Project Blaq, an online TV network that features high-quality black web series, documentaries, and short films. How awesome is that?????
Goodman a native of Vidalia Georgia, found a way to incorporate her passion and business. As a young student she always kept a positive attitude and a camera ready to capture any and all moments. Her gumption and zeal landed her many awesome opportunities including 9 internships, a stint at TV Land, and a full scholarship to undergraduate school. At the very young age of 23 Jasmin found herself teaching Undergraduate courses at Atlanta’s Art Institute. In addition to her academic and professional success Jasmin got the opportunity to talk about her business with Ebony Magazine in its Cool Jobs section earlier this year. Can we say “WINNING”??????
Jasmin is an admitted introvert who found her voice by pursuing higher education at Clark Atlanta University and Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Jasmin admits that God has ordered her steps and continuously leads her to greater success.
Jasmin is very passionate about communications. Despite the odds she chose to pursue her love for communications. “People will try to discourage you from your dreams; you have to JUST DO IT!” Jasmin wanted me to share that tidbit with you pretty people.
