Substance abuse plagues many in the music industry and in our society. This gala will enable Leigh and esteemed members of the hip-hop community to gather for this special occasion. Her mission is to raise awareness and embrace the struggle of those like Chris Kelly and others who we’ve lost.
Proceeds from the gala will contribute to music scholarships for students of the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, Kelly’s alma mater. Leigh Wise has the following to say about “Live and Die for Hip Hop Black Out Gala”
“As artists and music fans come together and remember where hip-hop has come from, the gala will be the perfect place to honor Chris and those who have helped shape what hip-hop is today.”
