Did you check your boobies last month?
I’m ashamed to admit that I totally forgot to check my boobies last month. I really don’t remember the last time I checked them for my health. I check them all time for fashion and when I am dancing in front of the mirror.
According to Susan G. Komen: Women of all ages should get in the habit of checking their boobies each month. When you check your boobies regularly; you can quickly detect changes in your body. By noticing changes you can get the proper medical attention that could very well save not only your boobies but your LIFE!
Nikiah Harris Washington has designated the 5th day of each month as “TOUCH YOUR BOOBIES“ Day. In an effort to help women take better care of themselves; Mrs. Washington decided to use the 5th of each month as a day for breast self-examinations.
We can remember the 15th is tax day.
We can remember the 14th is V-DAY.
So let’s remember the 5th of each month for TOUCH YOUR BOOBIES DAY!
Tell your mother, your sisters, your friends, and even the men in your lives to take a couple of minutes out on the 5th of each month. It’s really easy to do a self-examination. Tell them to “Touch their Boobies“.
Nikiah’s inspiration for the Touch Your Boobies campaign is to honor her husband’s aunt who is battling breast cancer. To support all women who are fighting Breast Cancer on a daily basis. To inspire awareness and to save lives.
Kudos to Nikiah for being a trailblazer and advocate for women everywhere. Nikiah is definitely a PGRDress Star!
