The very pretty and talented Lupita Nyong’o has been named People magazine’s “Most Beautiful Person” of 2014.
This pretty girl got international attention when she won best supporting actress Oscar for her role in “12 Years a Slave”. Since stomping on the scene this pretty girl who happens to be a graduate of Yale University where she received a Masters in its celebrated Drama School. Lupita has used her platform to encourage women and girls to strive for the best and has inspired us all by her fierce fashion sense. She is pretty ICONIC and a great role model for both women and girls. A girl should be classy and refined at all times.
Lupita Nyong’o is a breath of fresh air in a world that celebrates bad behavior and the ratchet. I liked her depiction in “12 Years a Slave” but I will be honest I became a fan when she shared her thoughts at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon,
“I remember a time when I too felt unbeautiful. I put on the TV and only saw pale skin, I got teased and taunted about my night-shaded skin. And my one prayer to God, the miracle worker, was that I would wake up lighter-skinned,” she told those in attendance, adding, “I hope that my presence on your screens and in the magazines may lead you, young girl, on a similar journey. That you will feel the validation of your external beauty but also get to the deeper business of being beautiful inside. There is no shade to that beauty.”
Lupita is definitely a pretty girl on the inside out! I definitely feel that Lupita should be celebrated for her major accomplishments and being the type of role model that should get pretty press!
Congrats pretty girl!
